Karen Phillips

Karen Phillips is Human Resources Director for PMC, responsible for all aspects of Human Resources and Payroll Administration.  In this role, Karen has developed PMC’s employee training and safety administration programs, as well as partnered with ADP TotalSource to achieve the enhanced benefit programs offered today.  She implemented a 401(k) program, as well as life and disability benefits and drug-testing program.

Karen’s previous experience was as a Human Resources Officer for Horizon Bank and a Human Resources Management Specialist for Checkpoint Meto, an international manufacturing firm.  In those positions she was the lead on HRIS/payroll conversions and responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Human Resources Information System.  She holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources Management and a Minor in Psychology from Valparaiso University, graduating Cum Laude.

Karen achieved her Professional in Human Resources Certification (PHR) in 1994 and her Senior Professional in Human Resources Certification (SPHR) in 1999 through the Human Resources Certification Institute.  She is an active professional member in the Society for Human Resources Management.
